It is God who sends down water from the sky for you to drink and produces plants as pasture for your cattle. 10 [and] by virtue thereof He causes crops to grow for you, and olive trees, and date palms, and grapes, and all [other] kinds of fruit: in this, behold, there is a message indeed for people who think! 11 And He has subjected to you the night and the day, the sun and the moon; and the stars are subjected by His Command. Surely, in this are proofs for people who understand. 12 On the earth He has fashioned for you objects of various hues: there is certainly a sign in that for people who pay heed. 13 It is He who subjected to you the sea, that you may eat of it fresh flesh, and bring forth out of it ornaments for you to wear; and thou mayest see the ships cleaving through it; and that you may seek of His bounty, and so haply you will be thankful. 14 And He has placed firm mountains on the earth lest it should move away from you, and has made rivers and tracks that you may find your way, 15 And waymarks; and by the star they are guided. 16 Is there one who createth like unto one who createth not? Will ye not then be admonished? 17 If you count the favours of God you will not be able to calculate. Assuredly God is forgiving and kind. 18 Allah knows all that you conceal and all that you disclose. 19 And those they call upon, apart from God, created nothing, and themselves are created, 20 They are, [in fact], dead, not alive, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected. 21
