۞ And Allah has proclaimed, “Do not ascribe two Gods; indeed He is the only One God; therefore fear Me alone.” 51 And His is all that is in the heavens and on earth, and to Him [alone] obedience is always due: will you, then, pay reverence to aught but Him? 52 Whatever blessing you have is from God, and to Him you turn for help when distress befalls you, 53 When He saves you from the hardship, some of you start to believe in idols. 54 that they may show unthankfulness for that We have given them. So take your joy; certainly you will soon know! 55 And they assign a portion of that which We have provided them unto what they know not (false deities). By Allah, you shall certainly be questioned about (all) that you used to fabricate. 56 And they assign daughters to Allah – Purity is to Him! – and assign for themselves what they wish. 57 Yet when news of the birth of a daughter reaches one of them, his face is darkened, and he is overwhelmed with silent grief, 58 He hideth himself from the folk because of the evil of that whereof he hath had tidings, (asking himself): Shall he keep it in contempt, or bury it beneath the dust. Verily evil is their judgment. 59 Those who do not believe in the Hereafter deserve to be characterized with evil attributes whereas Allah's are the most excellent attributes. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Wise. 60
