(Remember) the day when every soul shall come, pleading for itself and every soul shall be paid in full what it has done, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. 111 God presents the example of a town which enjoyed peace and security, its provisions coming from everywhere in abundance, but it denied the favours of God; so God acquainted it with intimate hunger and fear (as punishment) for what they had done. 112 There came indeed to them a Messenger from amongst them, but they cried him lies; so they were seized by the chastisement while they were evildoers. 113 So eat of the lawful and good food which Allah has provided for you. And be grateful for the Graces of Allah, if it is He Whom you worship. 114 The only things which are made unlawful for you are the flesh of dead animals, blood, pork and that which is not consecrated with the Name of God. But in an emergency, without the intention of transgression and rebellion, (it is not an offense for one to consume such things). God is certainly All-forgiving and All-merciful. 115 And, for what your tongues describe, do not utter the lie, (saying) This is lawful and this is unlawful, in order to forge a lie against Allah; surely those who forge the lie against Allah shall not prosper. 116 A little enjoyment, then for them awaits a painful chastisement. 117 We have forbidden the Jews what We have already related to you. We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves. 118 To those who do wrong out of ignorance, then repent and correct themselves, your Lord is indeed forgiving and kind. 119
