The day when every soul will come quarrelling against itself, and every soul will be fully repaid for what it did, and they will not be wronged. 111 And Allah presents an example: a city which was safe and secure, its provision coming to it in abundance from every location, but it denied the favors of Allah. So Allah made it taste the envelopment of hunger and fear for what they had been doing. 112 A Messenger from their own people came to them and they called him a liar. Torment struck them because of their injustice. 113 So eat of what God has provided you lawful and good; and be you thankful for the blessing of God, if it be Him that you serve. 114 The only things which are made unlawful for you are the flesh of dead animals, blood, pork and that which is not consecrated with the Name of God. But in an emergency, without the intention of transgression and rebellion, (it is not an offense for one to consume such things). God is certainly All-forgiving and All-merciful. 115 Do not falsely declare, "This is lawful, and this is forbidden," so as to invent a lie against God. Surely, those who invent a lie against God do not prosper -- 116 [It is but] a brief enjoyment, and they will have a painful punishment. 117 And unto those who are Judaised We disallowed that which We have already recounted unto thee; and We wronged them not, but themselves they were wont to wrong. 118 To those who commit sins in their ignorance then repent and reform, your Lord is certainly All-forgiving and All-merciful. 119
