Do not kill your children because you fear poverty. We will provide for you and them. Killing them is a great sin. 31 Do not even approach adultery. It is indecent and an evil act. 32 And do not kill anyone which Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause. And whoever is killed (intentionally with hostility and oppression and not by mistake), We have given his heir the authority [(to demand Qisas, Law of Equality in punishment or to forgive, or to take Diya (blood money)]. But let him not exceed limits in the matter of taking life (i.e. he should not kill except the killer only). Verily, he is helped (by the Islamic law). 33 And do not touch the property of the orphans except for bettering it, until they come of age; and fulfil the promise made: You will surely be questioned about the promise. 34 (xii) Give full measure when you measure, and weigh with even scales. That is fair and better in consequence. 35 Do not follow what you do not know; for the ear and the eye and the heart shall all be called to account. 36 And walk not in the earth exultant. Lo! thou canst not rend the earth, nor canst thou stretch to the height of the hills. 37 The evil of all this is odious in thy Sustainer's sight: 38 That is of the wisdom thy Lord set not up with God another god, or thou wilt be cast into Gehenna, reproached and rejected. 39 What! Has your Lord favored you with sons and taken to Himself females from among the angels? Indeed, you utter a monstrous thing! 40
