Al-Isra 10 of 12
They ask you about revelation. Say, revelation is by the command of your Lord, and that you have been given but little knowledge. 85 And if We willed We could surely take away that which We have revealed to you by inspiration (i.e. this Quran). Then you would find no protector for you against Us in that respect. 86 [Thou art spared] only by thy Sustainer's grace: behold, His favour towards thee is great indeed! 87 Say, "If mankind and the jinn gathered in order to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to each other assistants." 88 And verily We have displayed for mankind in this Qur'an all kind of similitudes, but most of mankind refuse aught save disbelief. 89 And they say: We will by no means believe in you until you cause a fountain to gush forth from the earth for us. 90 "Or you have a garden of date-palms and grapes, and cause rivers to gush forth in their midst abundantly; 91 or cause the sky to fall on us in pieces as you claimed, or bring Allah and the angels before us, face to face; 92 or (show us) that you have a well adorned house of your own, or climb into the sky. We shall never believe that you have climbed into the sky until you bring us a book that we can read." Say, "All glory belongs to my Lord. Am I more than a mortal Messenger?" 93

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
