When Moses said to his (assisting) youth: 'I will not give up until I reach the point where the two seas meet even though I should go on for many years' 60 But when they reached the Junction, they forgot (about) their Fish, which took its course through the sea (straight) as in a tunnel. 61 And when they had gone further, he said to his assisting youth; 'Bring us our breakfast; we are worn out from our journey' 62 He said, "Did you see when we retired to the rock? Indeed, I forgot [there] the fish. And none made me forget it except Satan - that I should mention it. And it took its course into the sea amazingly". 63 Musa said: that is that which we have been seeking. So they turned back upon their footsteps, retracing. 64 Then they found one of Our slaves, unto whom We had bestowed mercy from Us, and whom We had taught knowledge from Us. 65 Moses asked him, "Can I follow you so that you would teach me the guidance that you have received?" 66 He said: Surely you cannot have patience with me 67 "And how canst thou have patience about things about which thy understanding is not complete?" 68 He (Moses) said: 'If Allah wills, you shall find me patient, I shall not disobey your order' 69 He (Khidr) said: "Then, if you follow me, ask me not about anything till I myself mention it to you." 70

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
