AND LO! [In the course of his wanderings,] Moses said to his servant: "I shall not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas, even if I [have to] spend untold years [in my quest]!" 60 But when they reached the junction between them, they forgot their fish, and it took its course into the sea, slipping away. 61 When they had passed over, he said to his page, 'Bring us our breakfast; indeed, we have encountered weariness from this our journey.' 62 Said [the servant]: "Wouldst thou believe it? When we betook ourselves to that rock for a rest, behold, I forgot about the fish - and none but Satan made me thus forget it - and it took its way into the sea! How strange!" 63 [Musa (Moses)] said: "That is what we have been seeking." So they went back retracing their footsteps. 64 So they found one of Our servants, on whom We had bestowed Mercy from Ourselves and whom We had taught knowledge from Our own Presence. 65 Moses said to him: 'May I follow you so that you can teach me of that you have learned of righteousness' 66 He replied, "You will not be able to bear with me patiently. 67 'For how can you bear patiently with that which you have never encompassed in your knowledge' 68 Moses said, "God willing, you will find me patient, and I will not disobey you in any thing." 69 Said he, 'Then if thou followest me, question me not on anything until I myself introduce the mention of it to thee.' 70
