The human says: 'What, when I am dead, shall I be raised to life?' 66 Will not man remember that We created him aforetime, when he was nothing? 67 So by your Lord, We will surely gather them and the devils; then We will bring them to be present around Hell upon their knees. 68 Then indeed We shall drag out from every sect all those who were worst in obstinate rebellion against the Most Beneficent (Allah). 69 Then surely it is We who are the Best Knower of these worthiest of being therein roasted. 70 Not one of you there is, but he shall go down to it; that for thy Lord is a thing decreed, determined. 71 We shall then rescue the pious – and leave the unjust in it, fallen on their knees. 72 And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Which of [our] two parties is best in position and best in association?" 73 And many a generation We did destroy before them, who exceeded them in wealth and pomp! 74 Say: "If any men go astray, (Allah) Most Gracious extends (the rope) to them, until, when they see the warning of Allah (being fulfilled) - either in punishment or in (the approach of) the Hour,- they will at length realise who is worst in position, and (who) weakest in forces! 75 Allah will increase those who were guided in guidance and things that abide. Good deeds are better in reward with your Lord, and, better in return. 76 Hast thou seen him who disbelieves in Our signs and says, 'Assuredly I shall be given wealth and children'? 77 Has he seen the Hidden, or has he made a pact with the Most Gracious? 78 Never; We shall now record what he says and give him a prolonged punishment. 79 All that he claims will revert to Us, and he will come before Us all alone. 80 And they have taken (for worship) gods other than Allah, to give them power and glory! 81 But nay! [On Judgment Day] these [very objects of adoration] will disavow the worship that was paid to them, and will turn against those [who had worshipped them]! 82
