And man saith: When I am dead, shall I forsooth be brought forth alive? 66 But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing? 67 And so, by thy Sustainer, [on Judgment Day] We shall most certainly bring them forth together with the satanic forces [which impelled them in life] and then We shall most certainly gather them, on their knees, around hell; 68 We shall then pick out from every group the one who was most arrogant towards the Most Gracious. 69 We alone know who deserves most to be burned therein. 70 There is not one of you who shall not go down to it: such is a thing decreed, determined by your Lord. 71 We shall deliver those who took heed for themselves, and leave the evil-doers kneeling there. 72 And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Which of [our] two parties is best in position and best in association?" 73 And how many a generation have We destroyed before these, who were goodlier in goods and outward appearance? 74 Say: As for him who is in error, the Beneficent will verily prolong his span of life until, when they behold that which they were promised, whether it be punishment (in the world), or the Hour (of doom), they will know who is worse in position and who is weaker as an army. 75 And Allah will increase the guidance for those who have received guidance; and good deeds that remain have the best reward before your Lord, and the best outcome. 76 Have you, then, seen him who disbelieves in Our communications and says: I shall certainly be given wealth and children? 77 Hath he looked unto the Unseen, or hath he taken of the Compassionate a covenant? 78 By no means! We shall write down that which he saith; and We shall lengthen for him of the torment a length. 79 And We will inherit of him what he says, and he shall come to Us alone. 80 And they have taken besides Allah [false] deities that they would be for them [a source of] honor. 81 Never. They will deny their devotion and become their adversaries. 82
