WITH ALL THIS, man [often] says, "What! Once I am dead, shall I again be brought forth alive?" 66 Does man not remember that We created him before when he was nothing? 67 So by your Lord! We will most certainly gather them together and the Shaitans, then shall We certainly cause them to be present round hell on their knees. 68 and thereupon We shall, indeed, draw forth from every group [of sinners] the ones that had been most determined in their disdainful rebellion against the Most Gracious: 69 Then surely it is We who are the Best Knower of these worthiest of being therein roasted. 70 and there is not one of you but shall pass through it: a decree from your Lord which must be fulfilled. 71 Then We shall deliver those that feared Allah and leave the wrong-doers there on their knees. 72 And when Our clear communications are recited to them, those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Which of the two parties is best in abiding and best in assembly? 73 And how many a generation We destroyed before them, who were fairer in furnishing and outward show! 74 Say thou: whosoever is in error - surely unto him the Compassionate lengtheneth a length, until when they behold that wherewith they were threatened, either the torment or the Hour, then they shall come to know whosoever is worse in position and weaker as an army. 75 Allah increaseth in right guidance those who walk aright, and the good deeds which endure are better in thy Lord's sight for reward, and better for resort. 76 Hast thou observed him who disbelieveth in Our signs and saith: surely I shall be vouchsafed riches and children. 77 Has he gained knowledge of the unseen, or made a covenant with the Beneficent Allah? 78 No! We will record what he says and extend for him from the punishment extensively. 79 and divest him of all that he is [now] speaking of: for [on Judgment Day] he will appear before Us in a lonely state. 80 And they have taken gods, other than Allah, that they might be a power from them. 81 By no means! They shall soon deny their worshipping them, and they shall be adversaries to them. 82
