The human says: 'What, when I am dead, shall I be raised to life?' 66 Does not man remember that We created him before, when he was nothing? 67 So, by thy Lord, without doubt, We shall gather them together, and (also) the Evil Ones (with them); then shall We bring them forth on their knees round about Hell; 68 and thereupon We shall, indeed, draw forth from every group [of sinners] the ones that had been most determined in their disdainful rebellion against the Most Gracious: 69 Moreover, We well know those who most deserve to be burned in hell. 70 There is not one among you who will not reach it. Your Lord has made this incumbent on Himself. 71 And once again: We shall save [from hell] those who have been conscious of Us; but We shall leave in it the evildoers, on their knees. 72 When Our clear verses are recited to them the unbelievers say to the believers: 'Which of the two parties has a better position or company?' 73 And how many a generation We destroyed before them, who were fairer in furnishing and outward show! 74 Say, "Whoever is in error - let the Most Merciful extend for him an extension [in wealth and time] until, when they see that which they were promised - either punishment [in this world] or the Hour [of resurrection] - they will come to know who is worst in position and weaker in soldiers." 75 (On the contrary), Allah increases in guidance those who follow the Right Way. Lasting acts of righteousness are better in the sight of your Lord as reward and conducive to a better end. 76 Have you seen he who disbelieves Our verses and yet says: 'I shall surely be given wealth and children' 77 Hath he perused the Unseen, or hath he made a pact with the Beneficent? 78 By no means! We shall write down that which he saith; and We shall lengthen for him of the torment a length. 79 And We shall inherit from him that whereof he spake, and he shall come to us alone. 80 And they have taken to them other gods apart from God, that they might be for them a might. 81 By no means! They shall soon deny their worshipping them, and they shall be adversaries to them. 82
