See you not that We have sent the Shayatin (devils) against the disbelievers to push them to do evil. 83 So take no hasty action against them; their days are numbered. 84 On the Day when We shall gather the Godconscious unto [Us,] the Most Gracious, as honoured guests, 85 And drive the guilty unto hell, a weary herd, 86 They shall not control intercession, save he who has made a covenant with the Beneficent Allah. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 You have indeed brought an extremely grave speech! 89 The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation 90 that they have attributed to the All-merciful a son; 91 But it is not suitable for (the Majesty of) the Most Beneficent (Allah) that He should beget a son (or offspring or children). 92 There is no one in the heavens and the earth but will come to the Beneficent Allah as a servant. 93 He has indeed counted them, and He has numbered them exactly. 94 Every one of them will come before Him all alone on the Day of Resurrection. 95 Verily those who believe and do righteous works - anon the Compassionate shall appoint for them affection. 96 Now We have made it easy by thy tongue that thou mayest bear good tidings thereby to the godfearing, and warn a people stubborn. 97 And how many a generation before them have We destroyed! Canst thou (Muhammad) see a single man of them, or hear from them the slightest sound? 98
