Seest thou not that We have set the devils on the disbelievers to confound them with confusion? 83 So make no haste against them (O Muhammad). We do but number unto them a sum (of days). 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 and drive the evildoers into Gehenna herding, 86 who have no power of intercession, except those who have taken a covenant with the Merciful. 87 And they say: The Beneficent Allah has taken (to Himself) a son. 88 Surely you have made a monstrous statement. 89 The heavens are close to being torn apart by it, and the earth being split asunder, and the mountains succumbing and falling down. 90 That they ascribe a son to the Beneficent Allah. 91 The Beneficent God is too Exalted to have a son. 92 Not one of all [the beings] that are in the heavens or on earth appears before the Most Gracious other than as a servant: 93 He has counted them and calculated their number. 94 and every one of them will appear before Him on Resurrection Day in a lonely state. 95 Indeed, the Most Compassionate Lord will soon create enduring love for those who believe and do righteous works. 96 We have therefore made this Qur’an easy upon your tongue, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) for you to announce glad tidings with it to those who fear, and warn those who are quarrelsome. 97 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them! Perceivest thou of them anyone or hear of them a whisper? 98
