Hast thou not seen how We sent the Satans against the unbelievers, to prick them? 83 So, do not be hasty with them. We are counting their number (of days). 84 The Day We shall gather the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) unto the Most Beneficent (Allah), like a delegate (presented before a king for honour). 85 And shall drive the culprits to Hell as a herd. 86 None will have [power of] intercession except he who had taken from the Most Merciful a covenant. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 Assuredly, you have uttered a monstrous falsehood: 89 Whereby the heavens are almost torn, and the earth is split asunder, and the mountains fall in ruins, 90 at their ascribing a son to the Most Compassionate Lord. 91 When it is not meet for (the Majesty of) the Beneficent that He should choose a son. 92 There is none in the heavens and earth except he comes to the Merciful as a worshiper. 93 He has indeed counted them, and He has numbered them exactly. 94 each one of them shall come to Him one by one on the Day of Judgement. 95 On those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, will (Allah) Most Gracious bestow love. 96 and only to this end have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own tongue, [O Prophet,] so that thou might convey thereby a glad tiding to the God-conscious, and warn thereby those who are given to [futile] contention: 97 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them! Do you see any one of them or hear a sound of them? 98
