ART THOU NOT aware that We have let loose all [manner of] satanic forces upon those who deny the truth - [forces] that impel them [towards sin] with strong impulsion? 83 So make no haste against them; We only count out to them a (limited) number (of the days of the life of this world and delay their term so that they may increase in evil and sins). 84 The day We shall gather the righteous to (Allah) Most Gracious, like a band presented before a king for honours, 85 and We shall drive the sinful like a thirsty herd into Hell. 86 None shall have the power of intercession, but such a one as has received permission (or promise) from (Allah) Most Gracious. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 You have indeed advanced something hideous! 89 At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin, 90 That they should ascribe unto the Compassionate a son. 91 It does not become the majesty of the Compassionate God to take to Himself a son: 92 there is none in the heavens or on the earth but shall return to the Merciful in utter submission, 93 Verily He encompasses them and has counted them all. 94 Every one of them will come before Him all alone on the Day of Resurrection. 95 VERILY, those who attain to faith and do righteous deeds will the Most Gracious endow with love: 96 So have We made the (Qur'an) easy in thine own tongue, that with it thou mayest give Glad Tidings to the righteous, and warnings to people given to contention. 97 But how many (countless) generations before them have We destroyed? Canst thou find a single one of them (now) or hear (so much as) a whisper of them? 98
