T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! 11 "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 Therefore let not him who believes not in it and follows his low desires turn you away from it so that you should perish; 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 The Lord said, "Moses, throw it on the ground". 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 "And press your (right) hand to your (left) side, it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign, 22 But We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
