T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not sent down the Quran unto you (O Muhammad SAW) to cause you distress, 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 The Beneficent Allah is firm in power. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 Verily I am your Lord! Take off your shoes. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwa! 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 Allah said: cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he threw it down, and thereupon it was a snake, moving swiftly. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign 22 "That We may show you (some) of Our Greater Signs. 23 "Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)." 24
