T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and all that is in between, and all that is beneath the soil. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw fire, he said to his family: Stop, for surely I see a fire, haply I may bring to you therefrom a live coal or find a guidance at the fire. 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 I Am your Lord. Take off your shoes; you are in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Surely the hour is coming-- I am about to make it manifest-- so that every soul may be rewarded as it strives: 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' 18 He said: Cast it down, O Moses! 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." 24
