T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 The Most Gracious Who, befitting His Majesty, took to the Throne (of control). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 And if you speak aloud – so He surely knows the secret and that which is more concealed. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 Have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 "O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa. 12 I have chosen you as My Messengers. Listen to the revelation. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 [Allah] said, "Throw it down, O Moses." 19 So he cast it down, and thereupon it turned into a sliding serpent. 20 (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition".. 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious." 24
