T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed 2 But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever on the earth and whatsoever is in between and whatsoever is underneath the earth. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 God, there is no deity but Him. His are the most excellent names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 So when he came to it, a voice was uttered: O Musa: 11 "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 "Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." 18 The Lord said, "Moses, throw it on the ground". 19 So he threw it down, and lo, it became a running serpent. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 And press your hand to your side, it shall come out white without evil: another sign: 22 But We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
