T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha.* (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah and to whomever He reveals know their precise meanings.) 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),- 3 A down-sent from Him who Created the earth and the heavens high. 4 (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 Allah! La ilahla illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! To Him belong the Best Names. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 Therefor, let not him turn thee aside from (the thought of) it who believeth not therein but followeth his own desire, lest thou perish. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses." 18 Allah said: cast it down, O Musa! 19 Moses threw it on the ground and suddenly he saw that it was a moving serpent. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 "And press your (right) hand to your (left) side, it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign, 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
