T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 Sent down by One Who created the earth and the lofty heavens. 4 The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said unto his folk: Lo! Wait! I see a fire afar off. Peradventure I may bring you a brand therefrom or may find guidance at the fire. 10 When he reached it, he was called: 'O Moses, 11 Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen thee, so hearken unto that which is inspired. 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Moses! 19 He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits. 24
