T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 but only as an exhortation to all who stand in awe [of God]: 3 a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens 4 The Most Gracious Who, befitting His Majesty, took to the Throne (of control). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and all that is in between, and all that is beneath the soil. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 God - there is no deity save Him; His [alone] are the attributes of perfection! 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Verily the Hour (of the great change) is about to come. I keep it secret that every soul may be rewarded for its endeavour. 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 He said: 'Moses, cast it down' 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 And go to Pharaoh now for he has transgressed all bounds." 24
