T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, 2 Except as a reminder for one who fears. 3 it is a revelation from Him who has created the earth and the high heavens, 4 the All Merciful settled on the throne. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 But when he came close to it, a voice called out: "O Moses! 11 Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise. 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 So he cast it down, and thereupon it turned into a sliding serpent. 20 Said He: "Take hold of it, and fear not: We shall restore it to its former state. 21 "And press your (right) hand to your (left) side, it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign, 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent.' 24
