T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran to make you, (Muhammad), miserable, 2 Nay, it is a reminder to him who fears: 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Beneficent One, Who is established on the Throne. 5 To Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth, and all whatever is between them, and all whatever is beneath this wet soil. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 God -- there is no god but He. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no god except Me. Worship Me, and establish the prayer of My remembrance. 14 Although it is certain that the Day of Judgment will come, I prefer to keep it almost a secret so that every soul will receive the recompense for what it has done (on its own). 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" 17 He answered: "It is my staff; I lean on it; and with it I beat down leaves for my sheep; and [many] other uses have I for it." 18 (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 God said, "Take hold of it, and have no fear: We shall return it to its former state. 21 And press thy hand to thy side, it will come forth white, without hurt, as another sign. 22 So We would show thee some of Our greatest signs. 23 And go to Pharaoh now for he has transgressed all bounds." 24
