T H (Taa Haa)
135 verses, revealed in Mecca after Mary (Maryam) before The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not sent down this Qur’an upon you (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) for you to fall into hardship! (Either because he used to pray at length during the night or because he was distressed due to the disbelievers not accepting faith.) 2 But as admonition for him who fears -- 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Most Beneficent (Allah) Istawa (rose over) the (Mighty) Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil. 6 Be thou loud in thy speech, yet surely He knows the secret and that yet more hidden. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he came to it, a voice called out: "Moses! 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 "And I have chosen you. So listen to that which is inspired to you. 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 "Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 And what is this in your right hand, O Musa! 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 (Allah) said: "Cast it down, O Musa (Moses)!" 19 and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. 20 The Lord said, "Hold the serpent and do not be afraid; We will bring it back to its original form." 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 “In order that We may show you Our great signs.” 23 Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits. 24
