In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 But only as a Reminder to those who fear (Allah). 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. 6 If you speak loudly; He has indeed knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 "Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. 15 "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. 16 What is that in your right hand, Moses' 17 He said: it is my staff; I lean there on; and therewith beat down fodder for my sheep; and for me therein are other purposes. 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 [Allah] said, "Seize it and fear not; We will return it to its former condition. 21 “And put your hand inside your armpit – it will come out shining white, not due to any illness – one more sign.” 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 "[And now] go thou unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity. 24
