Said [Moses]: "O my Sustainer! Open up my heart [to Thy light,] 25 and ease my task for me. 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 "That they understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Let it be my brother Aaron 30 Increase through him my strength 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 so that we may glorify 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 Verily Thou! Thou art of us ever a Beholder. 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 He (Pharaoh) said: 'Moses, who is the Lord of you both' 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 He it is Who spread the earth for you; and made in it paths for you, and sent down water from the sky, and then through it We brought forth many species of diverse plants. 53 Consume them as food or for grazing your cattle. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of reason". 54
