Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 And ease my task for me; 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 (That) they may understand my word; 28 "And give me a Minister from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 To strengthen me 31 and let him share my task, 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 And much remember Thee. 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 go therefore, thou and thy brother; with My signs, and neglect not to remember Me. 42 “Both of you go to Firaun; he has indeed rebelled.” 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 The Pharaoh asked them, "Who is your Lord?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 Musa said: the knowledge thereof is with my Lord in the Book; my Lord erreth not, nor He forgetteth. 52 Who hath appointed for you the earth as a bed, and hath opened for you therein pathways, and hath sent down from the heaven water, and thereby We have brought forth kinds of plants, various. 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
