Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 And ease my task for me; 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Let it be my brother Aaron 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 "And make him share my task: 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 "For Thou art He that (ever) regardeth us." 35 God said, "You have been granted your request, Moses." 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 when We revealed what was to be made known to your mother, 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 I have chosen you for My service. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 The Pharaoh asked them, "Who is your Lord?" 49 'Our Lord' he replied, 'is He Who gave everything its creation and then guided it' 50 He said: Then what is the state of the former generations? 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 It is He who has made for you the earth as a cradle and threaded roads for you and sends down water from the sky with which We bring forth every kind of plant. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
