Said [Moses]: "O my Sustainer! Open up my heart [to Thy light,] 25 And make my affair easy to me, 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 To strengthen me 31 And let him share my task 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 and remember you often. 34 Verily Thou! Thou art of us ever a Beholder. 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 when We revealed what was revealed unto thy mother: 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 Go, thou and thy brother, with My tokens, and be not faint in remembrance of Me. 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 They came to the Pharaoh and told him that they were the Messengerss of his Lord and that they wanted him to let the Israelites go with them and stop afflicting the Israelites with torment. They told the Pharaoh, "We have brought miracles from Our Creator. Peace be with those who follow the right guidance. 47 ‘It has indeed been revealed to us that the punishment is upon the one who denies and turns away.’” 48 He (Pharaoh) said: 'Moses, who is the Lord of you both' 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 "He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky." With it have We produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
