(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 and ease my task for me. 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 (That) they may understand my word; 28 Appoint a deputy (for me) from my own people. 29 Let it be my brother Aaron 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 And share my task, 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 and remember You much: 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 “And indeed We had bestowed upon you a favour one more time.” 37 When We inspired unto thy mother that which We inspired, 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 They both said, "Our Lord, We fear that he may commit some excess against us, or exceed all bounds in transgression." 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 [But when God's message was conveyed unto Pharaoh,] he said: "Who, now, is this Sustainer of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
