Said [Moses]: "O my Sustainer! Open up my heart [to Thy light,] 25 and make my task easy for me. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 He said: You are indeed granted your petition, O Musa 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds; 43 "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." 44 They said: "O our Lord, we are really frightened lest he behave insolently with us or become violent." 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 So, go to him, and say: 'Behold, both of us are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not chastise them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; and peace shall be for him who follows the true guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 The Pharaoh asked them, "Who is your Lord?" 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 Musa said: the knowledge thereof is with my Lord in the Book; my Lord erreth not, nor He forgetteth. 52 It is He who has laid out the earth for you and traced routes in it and sent down water from the sky. We have brought forth every sort of plant with it, 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
