He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 "And ease my task for me; 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 so that they may understand my speech; 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 By him confirm my strength 31 and let him share my task, 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 and may remember You much. 34 Verily, You have always watched over us." 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 When We inspired unto thy mother that which We inspired, 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 I chose you for Myself. 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 They both said, "Our Lord, We fear that he may commit some excess against us, or exceed all bounds in transgression." 45 (The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see. 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 for, behold, it has been revealed to us that [in the life to come] suffering shall befall all who give the lie to the truth and turn away [from it]!"' 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance." 50 He said: then what happened to the former generations? 51 Musa said: the knowledge thereof is with my Lord in the Book; my Lord erreth not, nor He forgetteth. 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
