'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 And ease for me my affair. 26 And untie the knot from my tongue 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 Aaron my brother 30 By him confirm my strength 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may exalt You much 33 And remember you a great deal. 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that thou mightest be trained according to My will, 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother with My signs, and do not be negligent of My Remembrance. 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 [Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see. 46 Go, then; you two unto him and say, 'Behold, we are apostles sent by thy Sustainer: let, then, the children of Israel go with us, and cause them not to suffer [any longer]. We have now come unto thee with a message from thy Sustainer; and [know that His] peace shall be [only] on those who follow [His] guidance: 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement awaits those who called the lie to the truth and turned away from it.' " 48 (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who, then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?" 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 He it is Who spread the earth for you; and made in it paths for you, and sent down water from the sky, and then through it We brought forth many species of diverse plants. 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
