'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 "And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech) [That occurred as a result of a brand of fire which Musa (Moses) put in his mouth when he was an infant]. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 16, Page 159]. 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 "And make him share my task: 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 and remember you often. 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that thou mightest be trained according to My will, 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 I have chosen you for Myself. 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 43 And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear. 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 He said, “Do not fear – I am with you, All Hearing and All Seeing.” 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 Pharaoh said, 'Who is your Lord, Moses?' 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 Who hath appointed for you the earth as a bed, and hath opened for you therein pathways, and hath sent down from the heaven water, and thereby We have brought forth kinds of plants, various. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
