[Musa (Moses)] said: "O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness). 25 and ease my task for me. 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 that they may understand my words. 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen by him my back. 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 "And remember You much, 34 Verily Thou! Thou art of us ever a Beholder. 35 He said: "Moses, your petition is granted. 36 “And indeed We had bestowed upon you a favour one more time.” 37 When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38 Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that thou mightest be trained according to My will, 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 But speak gently to him; perhaps he may yet take heed or even feel afraid." 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 So, go to him, and say: 'Behold, both of us are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not chastise them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; and peace shall be for him who follows the true guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 He said: Then what is the state of the former generations? 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
