He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 And ease for me my affair. 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 Appoint a deputy (for me) from my own people. 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen by him my back. 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 So that we should glorify Thee much, 33 And much remember Thee. 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 "Go, both of you, to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement awaits those who called the lie to the truth and turned away from it.' " 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] said: "What about the generations of old?" 51 Moses said: "Its knowledge is with my Lord, recorded in the Book. My Lord does not err, nor does He forget." 52 It is He who has laid out the earth for you and traced routes in it and sent down water from the sky. We have brought forth every sort of plant with it, 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
