Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 And ease my task for me; 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 so that they might fully understand my speech, 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 "Add to my strength through him, 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may exalt You much 33 and may remember You much. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 He said: "Moses, your petition is granted. 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 Then your sister followed you, and said (to the people who had retrieved the child): 'Should I guide you to a person who can nurse him?' We thus brought you back to your mother that her heart may be cheered, and she may not grieve. (Remember) when you killed a man We saved you from anguish; and tested and steeled you (in other ways). Afterwards you sojourned for several years with the people of Midian; then you came up to the measure, 40 And I formed thee for Myself. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 They said: "O our Lord, we are really frightened lest he behave insolently with us or become violent." 45 God said, "Do not fear; I am with you both. I hear and I see. 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave unto everything its nature, then guided it aright. 50 He said: Then what is the state of the former generations? 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding. 54
