'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 and make my task easy for me. 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 Strengthen by him my back. 31 “And make him a partner in my task.” 32 so that we exalt You 33 And may make mention of Thee oft. 34 “Indeed You see us.” 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 when We revealed Our will to your mother, saying, 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 Both said: O our Lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate. 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 Verily we! it hath been revealed unto us that the torment will be for him who belieth and turneth away. 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 Moses replied, "Our Lord is He who has given everything its form, then guided it." 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 Musa said: the knowledge thereof is with my Lord in the Book; my Lord erreth not, nor He forgetteth. 52 It is He who has made for you the earth as a cradle and threaded roads for you and sends down water from the sky with which We bring forth every kind of plant. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
