And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate to Adam," and they prostrated, except Iblees; he refused. 116 Then We said, 'Adam, surely this is an enemy to thee and thy wife. So let him not expel you both from the Garden, so that thou art unprosperous. 117 "There is therein (enough provision) for thee not to go hungry nor to go naked, 118 And that you shall not be thirsty therein nor shall you feel the heat of the sun. 119 But the devil whispered to him, saying: O Adam! Shall I show thee the tree of immortality and power that wasteth not away? 120 Then they twain ate thereof, so that their shame became apparent unto them, and they began to hide by heaping on themselves some of the leaves of the Garden. And Adam disobeyed his Lord, so went astray. 121 Then his Lord chose him and relented towards him, and showed him the way; 122 and said: "Get down, both of you, (that is, man and Satan), and be out of it; each of you shall be an enemy to the other. Henceforth if there comes to you a guidance from Me, then whosoever follows My guidance shall neither go astray nor suffer misery. 123 but whosoever turns away from My remembrance, his life shall be narrow and on the Day of Resurrection We shall raise him blind' 124 'My Lord' he will say: 'why have You raised me blind when I was able to see' 125 God shall say, 'Even so it is. Our signs came unto thee, and thou didst forget them; and so today thou art forgotten.' 126 And this is how We reward him who transgresses and does not accept faith in the signs of his Lord; and indeed the punishment of the Hereafter is the most severe and more lasting. 127 Then, has it not become clear to them how many generations We destroyed before them as they walk among their dwellings? Indeed in that are signs for those of intelligence. 128

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
