Say, "Who can protect you at night or by day from the Most Merciful?" But they are, from the remembrance of their Lord, turning away. 42 Do they have some Gods who protect them from Us? Neither can they save themselves nor save their friends from Us. 43 Nay, We gave provision to these and their fathers until life was prolonged to them. Do they not then see that We are visiting the land, curtailing it of its sides? Shall they then prevail? 44 Say: 'I warn you only by the Revelation'; but they that are deaf do not hear the call when they are warned. 45 And if a breath (minor calamity) of the Torment of your Lord touches them, they will surely cry: "Woe unto us! Indeed we have been Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.). 46 And We place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all. And if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as accountant. 47 And We had already given Moses and Aaron the criterion and a light and a reminder for the righteous 48 (For) those who fear their Lord in secret and they are fearful of the hour. 49 And this is an admonition blest, which We have sent down! will ye then be the rejectors thereof? 50
