1/2 Hizb 33
< random >
۞ And indeed We bestowed Ibrahim with guidance from the beginning, and We were Aware of him. 51 When he said to his father and his people: What are these images to whose worship you cleave? 52 They replied, "We found our fathers worshipping them." 53 He said, "Both you and your fathers have certainly been in error." 54 They said: hast thou come unto us with the truth, or art thou of those who sport? 55 He said: "Nay, but your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth which He created and to that I bear witness before you. 56 And, by Allah, I shall circumvent your idols after ye have gone away and turned your backs. 57 Then he made them fragments, all except the big one of them, that haply unto it they may return. 58 They said, "Who has done this to our gods? Indeed, he is of the wrongdoers." 59 Some said, "We heard a young man, called Abraham, talking about them." 60 They said: 'Then bring him here so that the people may see, so that they may bear witness' 61 They said, 'So, art thou the man who did this unto our gods, Abraham?' 62 He said: rather he hath wrought it, this big one of them; so question them, if they ever speak. 63 So they returned to [blaming] themselves and said [to each other], "Indeed, you are the wrongdoers." 64 But then they relapsed into their former way of thinking and said: "Thou knowest very well that these [idols] cannot speak!" 65 Abraham said, "So, do you worship something instead of God that can neither benefit you nor harm you? 66 Woe to you for what you worship instead of God. Have you no understanding?" 67 They said: Burn him and help your gods, if you are going to do (anything). 68 We said, “O fire, become cool and peaceful upon Ibrahim.” 69 And they intended to do him an evil, but We made them the worst losers. 70 and We saved him and Lot and brought him to the land upon which We had bestowed Our blessings for all the people of the world. 71 And We bestowed upon him Isaac, and Jacob as a grandson. Each of them We made righteous. 72 And We made them leaders, guiding (mankind) by Our Command, and We inspired in them the doing of good deeds, performing Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and the giving of Zakat and of Us (Alone) they were worshippers. 73 And Lot -- to him We gave judgment and knowledge; and we delivered him from the city that had been doing deeds of corruption; they were an evil people, truly ungodly; 74 We admitted him to Our Mercy, he was among the righteous. 75

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
