۞ Before this We gave Abraham his guidance. We knew him well. 51 When he said to his father and his people: "What are these images, to which you are devoted?" 52 They replied: 'We found our fathers worshipping them' 53 He said, "Indeed ye have been in manifest error - ye and your fathers." 54 They said: Have you brought to us the truth, or are you one of the triflers? 55 He said: Aye! your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth Who created them, and as to that I am of the witnesses. 56 “And, by oath of Allah, I shall seek to harm your idols after you have gone away and turned your backs.” 57 So he smashed them up to pieces with the exception of the biggest, so that they may turn to it. 58 They said: Who has done this to our gods? Most surely he is one of the unjust. 59 'We have heard a young man called Abraham mention them' they replied. 60 They said, "Then bring him before the eyes of the people, that they may bear witness." 61 They said: Have you done this to our gods, O Ibrahim? 62 [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Nay, this one, the biggest of them (idols) did it. Ask them, if they can speak!" 63 So they turned towards their own selves and (inwardly) said, “Indeed you yourselves are unjust.” 64 Then they reversed themselves, [saying], "You have already known that these do not speak!" 65 (Abraham) said, "Do ye then worship, besides Allah, things that can neither be of any good to you nor do you harm? 66 Fie upon you and that you serve apart from God! Do you not understand?' 67 They said: "Burn him, and come to the support of your gods, if you are going to do anything." 68 But We said, "Fire! Be cool and a means of safety for Abraham." 69 And they desired a war on him, but We made them the greatest losers. 70 We took Abraham and Lot safely to the land in which We had sent blessings to the worlds. 71 And We bestowed on him Isaac, and Jacob as an additional gift, and made them righteous. 72 And We made them into leaders to guide people in accordance with Our command, and We inspired them to good works, and to establish Prayers and to give Zakah. They worshipped Us alone. 73 To Lot We gave wisdom and knowledge, and saved him from a people who acted villainously and were certainly wicked and disobedient. 74 We admitted him to Our Mercy, he was among the righteous. 75

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
