Pilgrimage (Al-Hajj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ O mankind! fear your Lord! for the convulsion of the Hour (of Judgment) will be a thing terrible! 1 On the Day when you behold it, every woman that feeds a child at her breast will utterly forget her nursling, and every woman heavy with child will bring forth her burden [before her time]; and it will seem to thee that all mankind is drunk, although they will not be drunk - but vehement will be [their dread of] God's chastisement. 2 Some people argue about God without knowledge and follow every rebellious devil. 3 although it is decreed about him that he shall lead into error whosoever takes him for a friend, and will direct him to the torment of the Fire. 4 O people! If you are in doubt about the Resurrection, remember that We first created you from dust, then from a sperm drop, then from clotted blood, then a lump of flesh, both shaped and unshaped, so that We might manifest to you [Our power]. We cause what We will to stay in the womb for an appointed time, then We bring you forth as infants and then We cause you to grow and reach full growth. Then, some of you will pass away early in life, while some of you will reach extreme old age in which they will know nothing of what they once knew. You see the earth, dead and barren, but no sooner do We send down rain upon it than it begins to stir and swell, and produce every kind of luxuriant vegetation: 5 This is so, because Allah is the Reality: it is He Who gives life to the dead, and it is He Who has power over all things. 6 And verily the Hour will come: there can be no doubt about it, or about (the fact) that Allah will raise up all who are in the graves. 7 Yet there are some who contend about God without any knowledge or guidance or enlightening Book, 8 They turn away arrogantly, leading people astray from God's path. Such men shall incur disgrace in this life and taste the punishment of the Fire on the Day of Judgement. 9 "That is for what your hands have put forth and because Allah is not ever unjust to [His] servants." 10
