And (remember) when We prepared for Abraham the place of the (holy) House, saying: Ascribe thou no thing as partner unto Me, and purify My House for those who make the round (thereof) and those who stand and those who bow and make prostration. 26 and publicly proclaim Pilgrimage for all mankind so that they come to you on foot and mounted on lean camels from every distant point 27 That they may witness things that are of benefit to them (i.e. reward of Hajj in the Hereafter, and also some worldly gain from trade, etc.), and mention the Name of Allah on appointed days (i.e. 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th day of Dhul-Hijjah), over the beast of cattle that He has provided for them (for sacrifice) (at the time of their slaughtering by saying: Bismillah, WAllahu-Akbar, Allahumma Minka wa Ilaik). Then eat thereof and feed therewith the poor who have a very hard time. 28 Thereafter let them end their unkemptness and fulfil their vows and circumambulate the ancient House. 29 All this [is ordained by God]; and if one houours God's sacred commandments, it will redound to his own good in his Sustainer's sight. And all [kinds of] cattle have been made lawful to you [for sacrifice and food,] save what is mentioned to you [as forbidden]. Shun, then, [all that God has forbidden and most of all,] the loathsome evil of idolatrous beliefs and practices; and shun every word that is untrue, 30 As the upright servants of God, do not consider anything equal to God. To consider things equal to God is like one falling from the sky who is snatched away by the birds or carried away by a strong wind to a far distant place. 31 Thus it is. And whosoever respecteth the rites of Allah, then verily it is from piety of the hearts. 32 In them (cattle offered for sacrifice) are benefits for you for an appointed term, and afterwards they are brought for sacrifice unto the ancient House (the Haram - sacred territory of Makkah city). 33
