And when We assigned to Ibrahim the place of the House, saying: Do not associate with Me aught, and purify My House for those who make the circuit and stand to pray and bow and prostrate themselves. 26 Proclaim the pilgrimage to the people. They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, they shall come from every deep ravine; 27 so that they may witness its benefit for them and, on the appointed days may utter the name of God over the cattle He has provided for them. Then eat their flesh, and feed the distressed and the needy -- 28 Thereafter let them end their unkemptness and fulfil their vows and circumambulate the ancient House. 29 Such (is the Pilgrimage): whoever honours the sacred rites of Allah, for him it is good in the Sight of his Lord. Lawful to you (for food in Pilgrimage) are cattle, except those mentioned to you (as exception): but shun the abomination of idols, and shun the word that is false,- 30 Devoting yourself to Allah, not ascribing any partner to Him; and whoever ascribes partners to Allah is as if he has fallen from the sky and the birds snatch him or the wind blows him away to a far-off place. 31 All this, and honouring the offerings to God, comes from purity of heart. 32 There are things therein profitable to you unto a stated term; thereafter their lawful place of sacrifice is by the Ancient House. 33
