The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent]. 9 These will be the heirs, 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
