The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 and who turn away from all that is frivolous, 3 who give charity, 4 who guard their privates, 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 And those who of their prayers are observant. 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
